We’re seeking a hands‑on, technically strong leader to oversee our underground Electronic Systems Engineering Technologist team. In this role, you’ll guide and ensure day‑to‑day execution of electrical, automation, communications, and network systems related tasks, while fostering strong alignment across Operations, Maintenance, IT, Automation, and Engineering. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic mining environment, brings strong technical troubleshooting skills, and enjoys developing people and processes.

What You'll Do
Lead the Team & Daily Work
Supervise and mentor a team of Electronic Systems Engineering Technologists, supporting a high‑trust, safety‑driven team culturePlan and coordinate daily work, ensuring job readiness, parts availability, and clarity of scopeProvide troubleshooting support and act as the escalation point for the shift TechnologistMaintain the ongoing technician work list and manage schedules to meet operational needsEnsure clear, consistent reporting and facilitate weekly problem‑solving reviewsCoordinate Work & Engage Stakeholders
Partner with the Underground Electrical Planner on scheduling and prioritizing workAct as the liaison between Technologists and Operations, Maintenance, Automation, IT, and EngineeringParticipate in key meetings, communicating updates, impacts, and required actionsOversee spares, materials inventory, and job kitting to support efficient executionStrengthen Standards, Documentation & Reliability
Develop SOPs and standardized work packages for electrical, communication, and automation tasksMaintain accurate documentation for underground network, wireless, phone, and fiber systemsBuild and manage preventive maintenance schedules for communication systemsSupport installation of communication infrastructure in new refuge stationsWork with IT to continuously improve network reliability and redundancyGrow Talent & Build Capability

Education & Experience
An Electrical Engineering Degree OR a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Systems Engineering Technology, or an equivalent field4+ years’ experience in an underground or industrial environment; however, a range of experience will be consideredAbility to obtain the qualifications needed for a Saskatchewan Supervisory Certificate required by the Saskatchewan Department of Labour; preference will be given to candidates who already possess this CertificateLeadership & Collaboration Skills
