High School Counsellor
Applications are invited for the position of High School Counsellor at a variety of schools within Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. Applications are welcome for full time, continuing positions, commencing the start of the school year.
The school counsellor provides individual and group counselling to students to support growth and development in the areas of personal/social, academics and career development.
The counsellor's work, in conjunction with our dedicated team of professional and support staff, to create a positive faith-filled learning environment for all students.
Successful candidates will:
Hold a Professional A Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
Be committed to supporting and integrating Catholic virtues into their teaching and classroom environment
Guidance and Career Counselling, Educational Psychology, Counselling Psychology, School Psychology or possess a Post Certificate Degree in Career and Guidance Studies
Have experience in counselling
Preference will be given to candidates who:
Possess an understanding of Indigenous counselling perspectives
Demonstrate flexibility to prioritize to the emerging social emotional needs of students
