Gabriel Dumont College – Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:

Sessional Instructor – Organizational Theory in Education (EDL 819)

Competition Code:  Feb 15

The position requires an instructor for the Indigenous Community Based Masters of Education program. The course will include an analysis of school leaders with reference to general systems theory, organization theory, cultural‑social institutions, role theory, formal organizations, bureaucracy, goals and effectiveness, organizational control, conflict in organizations, stability, change, innovation and growth.

The role involves planning, preparing, and delivering appropriate course instruction to students. The instructor will manage classroom activities to ensure an optimal learning environment, evaluate student performance, provide consistent feedback, and implement culturally responsive teaching approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Education and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience, approved by the University of Regina.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work effectively with Indigenous student populations.
