General Psychiatrist; or - LOCUM
Location: North Battleford
General Psychiatrist (1or 2 days per Week)- LOCUM
The SHA (North Battleford) is seeking locum General Psychiatrist support in February, March and April 2026 at Battleford Mental Health Centre. Shifts may include outpatient, inpatient and/or emergency services. The Psychiatrist will be part of the local multidisciplinary team and will provide leadership for the team in a collegial manner, as well as work with external bodies as required.
Remuneration:
- $2118.86 per 24-hour day (8 hours on site plus after-hours call where assigned)
- Emergency call stipend where after-hours call is provided (per the Saskatchewan Emergency Coverage Program)
- Mileage: $0.5555/km (one round trip per assignment)
- Travel time: $20 per hour (one round trip per assignment)
- Accommodations up to $200/night.
- Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or eligible for certification
- Licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan
- Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Specialized clinical experience in general psychiatry
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan provincial laws and regulations governing forensic psychiatry and the commitment and release of the mentally ill under The Mental Health Services Act
- Valid drivers license
- Minimum of 3 acceptable references
- Acceptable criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
