At the Centre, staff call the men Oskâpêwis (oh-ska-bay-oos), meaning “Helper.” This centre offers spiritual and cultural programs like one-on-one counseling with Elders and cultural outings for ceremonies such as Sundance, Land Teachings, and Pipe Ceremonies. Willow Cree Healing Lodge (WCHL) is a minimum-security facility for men, located on Beardy’s and Okemasis’ Cree Nation near Duck Lake, Saskatchewan.
