Global Saskatoon is looking for a full-time ENG Digital Technician to join their team.
Reporting to the Supervising ENG Digital Technician, the successful candidate would be responsible for camera operation, gathering visuals, and editing.
The shifts will primarily be Monday to Friday and may include evenings and weekends when necessary. This is a Group 4 position in the current collective agreement.

- Expertly operate an ENG camera to gather news on a daily basis independently or alongside a reporter
- Shoot, light and transmit live hits
- Facilitate breaking news and community event coverage from live in the field
- Edit video and stories using non‑linear software both in the newsroom and in the field
- Conduct interviews when required
- Strong respect for safety and procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot problems on your own
- Be able to work in a digital environment, providing content for online and social media
- Participate in assignment meetings
- Work closely with staff based in Regina
- Available to work weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Perform other duties as required
- Post‑secondary education (or equivalent experience) in a broadcast related field
- Hands‑on camera operation and editing experience, preferably in broadcast television or news
- Experience with non‑linear editing, ENG Camera, field lighting and working in a newsroom environment.
- Familiarity with Edius/Grass Valley considered an asset.
- Good news sense; up to date on current events and sports
- Strong computer and social‑media skills
- Ability to work independently.
- Top‑notch communicator and organizer; willing team member who can lead when required
- Decisive even under pressure; able to prioritize and meet multiple daily deadlines.
- Willing and able to adapt to rapidly changing technology and workflows
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
