We are seeking a skilled and analytical Project Estimator, to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for overhead and underground powerline construction projects.
This role is critical to supporting strategic bidding efforts, and ensuring that projects are positioned for both success and execution, while maintaining commitment to quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have:
Ten (10) years experience in the powerline trade, or Red Seal Certified Powerline Technician.Microsoft Office (Visio, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat proficiency, as well as project management software (Pro Core, MS Project, etc) (required).Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver abstract (required).A Diploma, certificate, or degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering Technology, and/or equivalent Field experience and trade skills/knowledge (preferred).Three (3) or more years of related experience in construction industry cost estimating (preferred).Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, or actively working towards this designation (an asset).Proven experience in supporting multiple projects and activities in a fast-paced, changing environment (required).Time management proficiency as well as organization and attention to detail to meet time-sensitive deadlines (required).Effective communicator, both verbally and written, as well as proven negotiation skills (required).Experience in leading and managing client/vendor relationships (required).
