The Role
As a key member of Cameco’s supply chain materials management group, the manager, materials management processes, is accountable for the design, governance, and performance of Cameco’s materials management (warehousing) business processes to ensure they meet operational and business requirements.
In this role, you will:
lead the definition, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of materials management processes, including all associated governance documentation.own the materials management component of the operational reliability self‑assessment tool and mentor personnel responsible for executing these processes.leverage data and analytics from SAP, dashboards, and other technologies to monitor, assess, and report on process performance.proactively identify, communicate, and address process improvement opportunities and issues in collaboration with site leaders.provide subject‑matter expertise and consultative support to site operations and corporate stakeholders in materials management.act as Cameco’s authority and gatekeeper for technologies supporting materials management processes, and chair the materials management community of practice, including maintaining records of meetings, issues, and action items.Required:
diploma in warehouse management or related technical field;minimum eight years of related experience in warehouse techniques and methodologies;experience in building relationships across different parts of the organization related to the portfolio of warehouse management;equivalent combination of education and work experience considered; andtravel by aircraft to our northern Saskatchewan operations and/or Ontario operations as required.Recommended:
an Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) certification, such as a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation;previous experience using SAP s/4
HANA to support change management, warehousing, and/or maintenance; andexperience working in the mining industry would be considered an asset.Conditions of Employment:
