About Us

Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Role

Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a part of a diverse procurement team. You will be responsible for supporting all of Cameco’s Canadian operations on a permanent full-time basis.

In this role, you will:

  • Source a range of materials, equipment and services and interact closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to value creation from procurement activities, act as a service provider to our partners at our Canadian operations, as well as participate in the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures.
  • Source best overall value to meet internal customer needs, generate and expedite purchase orders in an SAP environment, develop and execute contracts and manage vendor on-time delivery.
  • Conduct request for quotations (RFQ) and request for proposals (RFP) as needed.
  • Identify and resolve blocked invoices to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.
  • Assist in onboarding new suppliers and maintaining supplier databases.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Required:

  • bachelor’s degree in business, commerce or a related field;
  • minimum three to five years of relevant work and SAP experience;
  • equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
  • excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills; and
  • demonstrated expertise managing procurement activities for MRO supplies and services.
