Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. The Role

Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a part of a diverse procurement team. You will be responsible for supporting all of Cameco’s Canadian operations on a permanent full-time basis.

In this role, you will:

Source a range of materials, equipment and services and interact closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Contribute to value creation from procurement activities, act as a service provider to our partners at our Canadian operations, as well as participate in the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures.

Source best overall value to meet internal customer needs, generate and expedite purchase orders in an SAP environment, develop and execute contracts and manage vendor on-time delivery.

Conduct request for quotations (RFQ) and request for proposals (RFP) as needed.

Identify and resolve blocked invoices to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.

Assist in onboarding new suppliers and maintaining supplier databases.

Ensure adherence to internal controls, procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Required:

bachelor’s degree in business, commerce or a related field;

minimum three to five years of relevant work and SAP experience;

equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;

excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills; and

demonstrated expertise managing procurement activities for MRO supplies and services.

Salary Range: $82,000 - $103,000
