What you’ll do:
Lead a team of Senior Accountants, Accounting Technicians and Accounting clerks responsible for providing full cycle accounting services to local co-ops retails; this includes participating in the recruitment process, performance management, and professional development.
Lead the accounting team during the year end process to ensure that Financial Statements are presented in accordance with ASPE; this also includes coordinating with internal and external auditors and answer questions the auditors may have.
Collaborate with Region Finance and Control Managers to provide system guidance and recommendations on accounting standards.
Prepare and operate within the team’s annual plan and budget.

The Team: You will work closely with the finance and accounting professionals across the Co-operative Retailing System and will have a team of direct reports. You will report into the Manager, Local Co-op Accounting, and be part of a team that strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, building relationships and valuing the perspectives of others.

Have 6-9 years of relevant, progressively responsible accounting experience with 3+ years of supervisory experience.
