Position: | Casual Security Guard
Location: | Sarnia region
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Payrate: | $18.35/ hour
Key responsibilities:
Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas.Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed.Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team.Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences.Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary.Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.Prerequisites:
Valid Security License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Valid G class Driver LicenseOwn transportation and a clean driver's abstractEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a mustPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware:
