We are seeking a System Administrator II for a funded role to provide Infrastructure Server and Sustainment services, in order to enhance and complement High Performance Computing (HPC) sustainment capabilities. The role will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, manage IT system infrastructure and related processes, and provide support for IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

The incumbent will also provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

Required Skills
  • Configure and manage Linux, Unix, and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems; install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.
  • Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
  • Support day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Analyze and provide feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
  • Support the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of system administration experience, or ten (10) years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification.

The pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
