HVAC Service Technician IV - VRV
Daikin Applied Americas invites qualified individuals to apply for the HVAC Service Technician IV - VRV role located in Fort Myers, FL. This onsite position focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including VRV, VRF, rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers.
What You Will Do- Oversee and lead up to ten HVAC technicians.
- Perform start‑up and commissioning: verify functionality of new VRV systems and repair any malfunctioning equipment, and educate customers on proper use and maintenance.
- Conduct technician training and communicate knowledge of VRV systems to other technicians and customers.
- Direct other technicians through hands‑on demonstrations of troubleshooting and repair steps.
- Ensure timely and cost‑effective start‑up of maintenance contracts and efficient installation of jobs, providing maintenance per contract requirements and resolving customer concerns promptly.
- Perform ongoing review of contracts/projects, implementing corrective actions to keep costs consistent with financial plans; negotiate subcontract agreements as required and serve as primary contact.
- Utilize the Service Management System and contract review process to establish an effective work plan that maximizes team capabilities, ensures prompt customer service, and meets contract commitments.
- Perform preventive maintenance on any equipment/system under contract agreement by inspecting and checking equipment to ensure satisfactory working order.
- Respond to or assist other Service Technicians on emergency service calls to minimize downtime; provide coaching, leadership, troubleshoot, repair, restore equipment/systems, and recommend revisions, replacements, or upgrades when necessary.
- Support sales by participating in job‑site surveys, reviewing estimates for accuracy, and providing technical training and guidance.
- Contribute to accident and illness prevention by implementing safe work practices and providing required safety training per OSHA and Daikin Applied policies.
- Provide timely feedback to reinforce positive results or reduce potential callbacks.
- Participate in performance evaluations of Service Technicians, giving feedback on technical skills, attitude, thoroughness, teamwork, and development suggestions.
- Keep current and train on all Daikin Applied products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair.
- Travel locally for assignments, with some overnight travel required.
- Factory Certified Training, online training courses, and other professional on‑the‑job training in the HVAC industry.

- 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility, or 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
- EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (required).
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Commercial HVAC Industry Experience.
- Previous experience mentoring less experienced technicians.
- OSHA 10 certification within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides training during onboarding).
- Current First Aid / CPR card.

Typical hourly pay range: $35.40 – $55.30 in Florida.
