Controller / CFO

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands‑on Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This role supports the Controller in overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

• Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close processes
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Help implement and maintain internal controls and process improvements
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and tax preparations
• Utilize Acumatica ERP for financial reporting, data analysis, and transaction tracking
• Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA a plus

• Background in a multi‑entity or project‑based environment
• Working knowledge of Acumatica
• Familiarity with payroll processes and sales/use tax reporting
• Prior experience in manufacturing or construction is a plus
