Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Santa Rosa, CA, for an Electrician at McDonell Electric, Inc. The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial, industrial. Day-to-day tasks include reading blueprints, troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues, installing wiring systems, maintaining and upgrading equipment, and adhering to all safety standards and protocols. The Electrician will also work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and to the company’s high-quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in electrical system installation, maintenance, and repair for commercial, industrial, and residential projects
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues
  • Knowledge of safety standards, codes, and compliance with local regulations
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency solutions such as lighting retrofits and solar panel systems
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Physical ability to work in varying conditions, including heights and confined spaces
  • Formal training, licensing, or certification as a Journeyman Electrician
  • Experience or certification in operating high-voltage equipment is a plus
