Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care

Duties

• Provide high-quality nursing care in an outpatient setting.
• Work primarily during the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Float to the Main PACU as needed.
• Manage preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Conduct follow-up phone calls and provide discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, utilizing interpretation services when necessary.

• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Proficient in managing hyperglycemia/hypoglycemia protocols and insulin protocols.
• Competency in procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Skilled in pre/post-operative care, including medication reconciliation and obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG.
• Familiarity with a variety of surgical cases including endo/laparoscopic, ENT, ophthalmology, and more.
• Ability to interpret and communicate lab values and manage pain assessment.

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS (certifications marked with
  * are preferred).
• Experience in inpatient, ambulatory/outpatient, and pre-post endocrine settings preferred.
• Experience handling a diverse patient age group, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
