Inpatient PACU Registered Nurse - Acute Care Facility Location

California

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, primarily 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with some variability. No weekends or holidays required.

The Inpatient PACU Registered Nurse will provide care for patients recovering from outpatient surgeries in both Phase I and Phase II recovery. This role requires strong assessment skills and the ability to manage post-operative care effectively.

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide education to patients.
• Monitor patients in post-anesthesia care, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer medications as required, including procedural sedation and reversal agents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

• Minimum of 1 year of Inpatient PACU experience.
• Current California RN License (active or pending).
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, and PALS preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
