- ** Position**:
Registered Nurse in Outpatient Pre Op PACU
- ** Shifts**:
Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00)
- ** Specialty**:
Operating Room
- ** Experience Required**:
Minimum 1 year
- ** No Weekend Shifts**:
Enjoy your weekends free!
- ** Flexible Start Date**: ASAP; primarily work 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional shifts from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- ** Patient Age Groups**:
Experience with Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics
** Responsibilities:** - Deliver exceptional patient care in the Pre Op and PACU Phase I and II - Conduct pre-op assessments and education - Administer pre-op medications and manage post-operative care - Perform medication reconciliation and provide discharge instructions - Monitor patients undergoing various surgical procedures - Float to the Main PACU if required

ACLS, BLS, PALS (preferred)
- Skills:
- ** Preferred**:
- Experience in Inpatient & Ambulatory/Outpatient settings - Familiarity with pain assessment & management - Proficient in monitoring anesthesia types (Conscious Sedation, General Anesthesia, Local, MAC) - Knowledgeable in hyperglycemia/hypoglycemia protocols
- Experience with medications including narcotic/opioid analgesics and reversal agents - Proficiency in Epic charting system preferred

Approximately 10 patients

All outpatient surgeries including general, orthopedic, and urology
