Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery

Duties

• Provide pre-op and post-op care, including patient assessment and education.
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation and anesthesia care.
• Manage patient discharge instructions and follow-up communications.
• Interpret and communicate lab values effectively.
• Implement hyperglycemia/hypoglycemia and insulin protocols.
• Participate in interdisciplinary support and utilize interpretation services as needed.
• Work Monday through Friday with no weekends, holidays, or on‑call duties.
• Float to Main PACU as required.

• Proficiency in Epic charting system is preferred.
• Experience with a variety of surgical cases including ENT, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and more.
• Ability to manage pain assessment and sedation scales, including RASS.
• Knowledge of malignant hyperthermia protocols and isolation precautions/PPE.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a relevant setting.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS (preferred).
• Experience in both inpatient and ambulatory/outpatient settings is preferred.
• Experience with pre‑op and post‑op care, including medication reconciliation and EKG/ECG acquisition.
• Experience with adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient age groups.
