The Utilization Coordinator is responsible for coordinating admissions, performing concurrent and retrospective utilization review, and facilitating discharge planning. S/he also provides coordination of complex discharge planning needs and referrals to appropriate support services.
Education- Associate's in Nursing or above. Bachelor’s preferred.
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 180 Days of hire
- CCM-Certified Case Manager preferred.
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Minimum 2 years experience working in Utilization Management (admissions, utilization review, and/or discharge planning).
