Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric RN with a current CA RN license and Epic experience to join an acute care hospital pediatric unit for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the pediatric unit of a 277-bed acute care hospital

• Night shifts are 3x12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Float required within skillset to similar units and may include other facilities in the state

• Pediatric patient population with age-appropriate care

• Epic EMR experience required

• 4x12 hour shift options may be considered upon request

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Peds-friendly tops with royal or navy blue bottoms required for dress code

• Free parking available

• Floating to other facilities within the state may be required

• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included at submission and is limited to 2 requests

• Orientation consists of 40 hours

• Assignments may be terminated for refusal to float

Requirements

• Active, current CA RN license required at time of consideration

• Minimum 1 year of recent pediatric nursing experience

• Current certifications as required for pediatric nursing

• Epic EMR experience required

• Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting

• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Former perm staff must wait 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot apply if residing within 50 miles
