Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery team. The RN will provide skilled, patient-centered care to women during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, ensuring safe delivery and high-quality maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery, including monitoring maternal and fetal well‑being.
  • Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
  • Administer medications, IVs, and epidurals under provider direction.
  • Educate and support patients and families on labor, birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
  • Respond to emergencies such as fetal distress, hemorrhage, or eclampsia with critical thinking and rapid interventions.
  • Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and NICU staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications
  • Current California RN license (required).
  • Minimum 1-2 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience (hospital setting preferred).
  • Current ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
  • AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (preferred).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.
