- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop plans of care, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, including medication management and crisis intervention services.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with policies, state guidelines, and best practices, including medication education, infection control, and risk management.
- Provide individualized care sensitive to the age and developmental needs of each patient, and participate in on-call schedules and mandatory committees as required.
- Adhere to established formularies for therapeutic regimens and utilize procedures for admission, transfer, and specialty referrals.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for professional judgments, while supporting standards of psychiatric care and providing input into committees and meetings as requested.
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Psychiatric experience preferred or experience in a residential healthcare institution
Licenses/Certifications
- Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice highly desired
- Must maintain CPR certification, and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required by contract
Position is Mon-Fri with 8-hour dayshift. Compensation Rate: $96.88/hour. Must have minimum of 2 years experience as PMHNP.
