- Salary Range: $11,189.00 - $13,601.00 per month (25/26 Management Salary Schedule); maximum initial salary placement at mid-range, which is $12,336.00 per month (placement within this range is based on assessment of previous experience as documented in application materials). An additional 2% compensation will be added to the base salary for an earned doctorate degree.

- Leave/Holiday time: Management employees earn 1 day of sick leave and 1.8333 days of vacation for each month worked. They are also entitled to holidays recognized by the District (18 holidays/year).
- Retirement: Santa Rosa Junior College is a CalSTRS and CalPERS employer. Eligibility will be determined based on the regulations established by both agencies.
Reporting to the Executive Director, SRJC Foundation and District External Relations, the Grants Manager is responsible for advancing the mission of Santa Rosa Junior College through the identification, development, submission, and stewardship of grants from public, private, and philanthropic sources. This position plays a critical role in supporting institutional priorities by managing the full lifecycle of grant funding from research and proposal development to post‑award compliance and reporting.
Working in collaboration with District leadership, faculty, staff, and community partners, the Grants Manager will lead a strategic grants program that secures resources to expand equitable student success, enhance academic and workforce programs, and promote innovation across the District.
The SRJC Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit corporation focused on the critically important role of raising and stewarding funds to support students and educational programs at Santa Rosa Junior College. The SRJC Foundation holds the distinction as one of the largest and most successful California Community College foundations, with assets exceeding $100 million. The Foundation is number one among 114 California Community College foundations for funds raised to provide student scholarships and currently oversees an investment portfolio exceeding $75 million.
Examples of key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Incumbents routinely perform approximately 80% of the duties below.
- Identify and research local, state, federal, and private grant funding opportunities aligned with SRJC’s strategic goals and mission.
- Develop and coordinate the timely submission of high‑quality, competitive grant proposals, including narratives, goals, budgets, timelines, data, and required attachments.
- Partner with faculty, administrators, and staff to support grant opportunities, ensuring alignment with District priorities and feasibility of implementation.
- Develop and implement internal policies and procedures related to grant development, submission, and stewardship through the participatory governance structure.
- Lead internal cross‑functional working groups to support collaborative grant development efforts.
- Steward relationships with funding agencies and philanthropic partners; serve as primary point of contact for public and private grantmakers.
- Collect and share data, stories, and reports to demonstrate philanthropic and grant impact and provide support for projects, campaigns, and events that advance philanthropic goals.
