Overview

Job Description:

Basic Function of the Job. Provide preventative maintenance, repair, installation, testing, and calibration of production equipment throughout the factory including facilities equipment. Troubleshoot equipment problems with respect to mechanical and electrical areas, down to the individual component level. Perform routine periodic testing of equipment to ensure key components function properly. Work with engineers and production personnel to optimize equipment uptime. Keep and maintain records for equipment repair/preventive maintenance.

Scheduling of preventive maintenance procedures and records. Perform minor facility repairs including plumbing and electrical.

Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Technical AA degree in general engineering or equivalent industrial experience
Experience
  • 2+ years applicable experience in a manufacturing setting related to repair and maintenance of production and testing equipment using power tools, lifting, and measurement/diagnostic tools
  • Understanding of technical drawing and basic engineering principles to repair and maintain production equipment
  • Experience in mechanical and technical troubleshooting of equipment problems
  • Hands-on and direct approach to problems and needs of production demand
  • Work as part of a team to perform testing, including data analysis for equipment performance
  • Experience with networked PC-based computer systems

  • Preventive maintenance of equipment – 60%

  • Maintenance scheduling conflicts resolved without interrupting production capacity
  • Parts and supplies obtained prior to preventive maintenance due date
  • Communication with production personnel for feedback on equipment performance and maintenance feedback
  • Identify opportunities for better utilization of equipment and bring to attention of area process engineers, supervisors or operators
  • Review equipment maintenance history to update the schedule
  • Repair of broken equipment
