Join Meinberg as a Defense Applications Engineer (f/m/d). Meinberg is a world leader in network time synchronization, with products deployed in mission‑critical applications worldwide, such as power grids, stock exchanges, banks, live TV and radio programs, air traffic control systems, and hyper‑scale data centers. Meinberg provides time and frequency solutions for hundreds of millions of mobile devices, computers, and communication networks.
The position is located in Santa Rosa, CA and is full‑time. If you are a U.S. citizen with strong customer‑engagement skills and a passion for defense technology, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Advocate and evangelize Meinberg synchronization technology to defense industry customers at trade‑shows, technical conferences, and webinars.
- Support customers through the sales process by explaining technology, proposing solutions, and assisting with installations and configurations.
- Contribute to defining Meinberg USA’s defense market exploration strategy.
- Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with vendors that help promote Meinberg products to end customers.
- Become an expert on defense synchronization needs, Meinberg products, industry standards, and competitive solutions, then use this expertise to create compelling collateral.
- Engage with R&D by providing customer feedback on new hardware, software, and cybersecurity developments.
- Drive roadmap and product definition for future Meinberg defense products.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Excellent customer engagement and communication skills; patient, diplomatic, and service‑oriented.
- Strong understanding of the defense industry and its technology.
- Solid knowledge of computers and networking technology, including switches, routers, TCP/IP, and Ethernet.
- High‑level understanding of software development and basic knowledge of security protocols.
- Technical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Dependable and hardworking.
- Desire to contribute to a growing company and share in its successes and challenges.
- Preferred: Knowledge of timing technology: GPS/GNSS, NTP, PTP.
- Preferred: Experience with time synchronization in a specific defense application.
