Wellpath serves hundreds of thousands of unique individuals at our facilities each month and is a critical resource for direct clinical care, including life‑saving interventions.

How you make a difference

The Mental Health Professional provides clinical services to individuals under the supervision of the Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor, or Mental Health Director. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence‑based psychotherapeutic interventions. The role also involves mental health consultation and training for facility staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and diagnostic evaluations in compliance with policies and professional standards.
  • Document clinical services promptly and professionally, including service reports and treatment records.
  • Consult with institutional staff, including screening committees and psychiatric staff, regarding mental status and management of patients.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in‑service training programs, and specialized clinical and program development activities.
  • Maintain accountability through participation in the Quality Improvement program and accurate recording of activities.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.

Experience

  • Coursework and professional experience that demonstrate knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.

Licenses/Certifications

  • LMSW, LPC, or similar licensure in the state from the appropriate licensing board.
  • Must maintain CPR certification and any other certifications (e.g., First Aid) required.

*** This position will be 40 hours/week—Tues‑Sat dayshift ***
