Financial Analyst Corporate

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will assist with CFCU financial imperatives including product & branch profitability; potential new products and services profitability analysis; budget variance analysis, and budget planning; asset liability management (ALM) modeling and reporting, cash flow forecasting and ad-hoc analysis supporting financial reporting.

• Participates in the creation of CFCU’s interest rate sensitivity analysis to forecast the impact of market interest rates on capital and earnings.
• Utilizes financial models and “what if” scenarios to help analyze the impact of various business strategies.
• Performs research and analysis to compare internal metrics to those of peer financial institutions.
• Maintains the lending analytics model and prepares associated statistical and trending reports.

• Assists in the preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgeting, forecasting, financial plans, cash flow projections, regulatory reports, and statistical reports to support executive and board-level decisions.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of member, branch, and product cost tracking and profitability analysis.
• Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly recurring analytical schedules, graphs, trends, and variance analysis.

• Attend and participates in meetings as required.
• Stays informed of trends and current topics in the finance field.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Finance or CFO.

• Strong analytical and data organization/interpretation skills with experience working with large volumes of data.
• Familiarity with the budgeting and forecasting process and knowledge of deposit and lending products.
• Skilled at Accounting/ALM software and Excel.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Must work well both independently and in teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or another relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years of financial analysis experience.
• Experience in financial institution processes or procedures or similar experience is preferred.

• Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
• Corrected vision within the normal range.
• Hearing within normal range.
• Ability to lift 15 lbs. as may be required.
• Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
