PositionProgram Coordinator
General PurposeUnder the supervision of the Club Leader, the Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and operating programming within a specific Club. Works directly with groups of up to 20 Members, following the school day.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Implements daily challenges and learning activities on a daily basis.
- Executes targeted enrichment programs that support English Language Learners, positive relationship building, problem‑solving and social‑emotional development.
- Delivers programs and activities in the following five core areas:
Academic Success, The Arts, Leadership & Service, Sports, and Health & Wellness. - Establishes a strong relationship with school teachers.
- Role modeling and group management.
- Creating an environment that facilitates achievement.
- Maintaining enthusiasm and a positive attitude with youth and within the Club community.
- Conveying warmth, care & proper guidance in ongoing interactions with Members.
- Consistent attendance to create stability for Club Members.
- Maintains a safe, clean and appealing environment and ensures Member safety through proper supervision.
- Utilizes trauma‑informed behavior management tools to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all Members.
- Actively participates in daily and weekly Club communication with co‑workers, supervisors, volunteers and parents regarding Member behavior and achievements.
- Encourages Members to take responsibility for their good behavior and reinforces high behavior expectations at all times.
- 4+ ECE units, preferred.
- High School diploma (or higher).
- Age 21 or older.
Previous work experience with teenagers is preferred.
Computer & Equipment Skills- Microsoft Office preferred.
- Mandatory negative TB test.
- Must pass Instructional Assistant Exam.
- Must provide own vehicle, have a valid state driver’s license and proof of auto insurance preferred.
- Applicants must be able to successfully perform the essential physical functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.
