In this on‑site position, you will support the Banking Center Manager in overseeing the efficient daily operations of a full‑service banking center, delivering responsive, innovative, and secure financial solutions while providing personalized service to our customers.

This role offers the chance to work with local leadership and customers as an integral part of the South Walton community.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates and/or bachelor’s degree related to business and/or finance preferred.
  • Completion of Retail Banking Specialist 3 checklist (Internal) required; or 3‑5 years of retail banking experience with a strong understanding of Retail Banking Specialist functions required.
  • Completion of Retail checklists through Supervisor level within 1 year required.
  • 1‑2 years’ supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10‑key and internet utilization required.
  • Willingness to demonstrate Core 5 values with customers and coworkers.
Hours of Availability

Regularly Scheduled Hours/Week: 40 (plus) hours per week:
Monday – Friday 8:15 am – 5:00 pm. Extended working hours may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of the banking center team, including service, sales, and operations.
  • Ensure retail staff receive comprehensive training and development on bank protocols, operational processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing education on products and services across all lines of business, equipping the team to effectively provide, sell, and cross‑sell solutions.
  • Foster and maintain an environment that delivers exceptional care, ensuring customers feel welcomed, valued, and engaged.
  • Conduct weekly huddles and staff meetings, serving as a communication link between departments and leadership.
  • Operate with an awareness and understanding of essential employment law concepts, interpreting and executing policies reviewed during management meetings.
  • Frequently perform all essential Retail duties and ensure that these duties are followed by retail staff in accordance with written policies and procedures.
  • Be familiar with physical security equipment and enforce security procedures to protect the team and banking center against robbery and other criminal acts.
  • Ensure audit controls are followed, and various monthly audits, checklists and/or reports are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure operational compliance with regulatory guidelines, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, and Fair Lending.
  • Resolve customer complaints beyond the scope of other banking center personnel, communicating complex subjects with clarity and tact.
  • Work with management to develop banking center objectives and the specific programs necessary to achieve them.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of customer account information to protect bank operations and uphold customer trust.
  • Operate computer software and equipment, telephone, scanner, and copier. Proficiency with Bankway software required.
  • Able to hold a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation for arriving to work on time, work on‑site at assigned location, and willingness to extend working hours when necessary.
  • Required to attend Bank Better University, training sessions assigned by management, and incorporate essential leadership skills and responsibilities.
  • Additional duties may be assigned or required by management.
