Under the direction of the Assistant General Manager of Fitness, the Professional Fitness Trainer evaluates client status and delivers safe, client‑based exercise routines to help clients achieve their fitness goals. The trainer is responsible for meeting personal revenue goals each month while providing outstanding customer service and hospitality to all members and guests.
Job Description- Provide new member fitness consultations and evaluations.
- Develop individual exercise programs based upon client abilities, health, and goals.
- Be on time for all scheduled appointments.
- Maintain accurate, current records of all client exercise programs and progress.
- Track each client’s training sessions and fee payments.
- Enforce all fitness center and club policies.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and marketing of innovative private and group PFT programs.
- Assist in maintaining and cleaning the fitness center.
- Record work hours, client sessions, and other details in the appropriate tracking system.
- Participate actively in meetings and training programs, including club-sponsored developmental or educational seminars.
- Maintain valid trainer and CPR/AED certification.
- Promote the company’s safety goals and ensure a safe working environment.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Actively support corporate objectives and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize professional development consistently.
- Assist with special club projects, events, and promotions.
- ACSM‑HFS, NSCA‑CSCS, ACE‑PT, NASM, or equivalent national certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related studies preferred.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a health club environment preferred.
- Experience in marketing and promotions preferred.
- Nutrition education preferred.
- Sales and marketing knowledge, including strategy, tactics, and sales techniques.
- Problem anticipation and deductive reasoning.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, club tracking systems).
- Well‑organized and detail‑oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service attitude.
- Regular interaction with clients via in‑person, phone, and email.
- Location varies; indoor and outdoor settings.
- Handle difficult or upset clients.
- Adapt to a frequently changing environment.
- Sitting and standing required as needed.
- Use hands for handling and reaching objects.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.

Estimated Base Pay Range$17.81 - $81.00 per hour
