Retail Associate

Role Brief:

The WHEAT Company is a multi-faceted, destination-focused, luxury retail company; incorporating a broad portfolio of retail destinations (incorporating an in-hospitality division & a stand-alone division); a domestically produced, eco-conscious clothing collection designed for the luxury traveler; and a hospitality retail consulting arm.

We are looking for part or full-time Sales Associates to work in The Shop by WHEAT retail destination located at Hotel Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about luxury fashion and have knowledge of the brands we carry, including Frank & Eileen, Hunza G, MOTHER, Free City, Fine Jewelry, luxury bags, and more. They will also be familiar with our own MAISON WHEAT line that includes luxury loungewear, candles, and fragrances.

Having a familiarity of the area and understanding luxury retail sales is beneficial. This candidate will be able to draw upon their previous experience to work collectively with a team in reaching monthly store sales goals, maintaining visual displays, back-stock organization, and inventory procedures. Prior experience in working with a team, cash handling, daily operations, receiving and processing shipments, inventory counts, and light cleaning duties is a must.

The candidate must be able to work independently and be willing to problem solve. Visual skills are not required, but are preferred as this position may require communication with the head of merchandising. This role will require strong verbal and written communication skills and reports to the Store Manager.

Pay range: $22 – $24 based on experience.
