Pastry Chef

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time PASTRY CHEF position at Bon Appétit Management Company.

Location:

Snap Commissary – 2900 31st Street, Santa Monica, CA 90405. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

Full time schedule. Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirements: 3–5 years of previous high‑volume pastry experience preferred.

Pay Range: $27.00–$32.00 per hour.

Creates, plans, and supervises the daily production of top‑quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

• Supervises the daily production and distribution of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Ensures recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled, and appropriate quantities are prepared based on established production needs.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Monitors and controls the maintenance and sanitation of the pastry kitchen and equipment to ensure a work environment that meets or exceeds federal, state, and corporate standards and regulations.
• Supervises hourly kitchen/pastry associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate.
• Helps plan and implement seasonal menus.
• Orders and maintains pastry supplies and products to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
