Bartender

Overview

Bartender position at Two Coast Living, a hotel in Los Angeles (Hotel Oceana Santa Monica). This oceanfront, all‑suite hotel reopened in July 2019 after a $35 million transformation. The restaurant features a refreshed concept with a curated wine list and innovative menu.

Pay ($23.00 /hr) based on skills and experience. Full‑time hospitality schedule includes weekends and holidays.

• Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service at the bar.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Check customer identification to verify legal drinking age.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked bar area.
• Take orders accurately and process payments using the POS system.
• Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and practice responsible service.
• Restock bar supplies and assist with inventory as needed.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

• Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math and cash‑handling skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
• Previous bartending experience preferred (training may be provided).

Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement savings, and basic life insurance. Accrue 80 hours of vacation in first year and up to 80 hours paid sick leave. Eligible employees receive holiday pay or paid holidays for six annual holidays.
