Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Perinatal RN – Southern California

Start Date: April 6, 2026
Location: Santa Monica, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week contract; every other weekend required; no on-call; may float to postpartum as needed

Highlights:

• Beachside acute care hospital with 266 staffed beds and approximately 200 deliveries per month
• 9 labor/high-risk rooms, 4 antepartum rooms, and 3 triage rooms
• Comprehensive perinatal care including fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy management, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
• Epic charting system; interdisciplinary support including respiratory, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Bonus opportunity for RNs who can perform postpartum couplet care and newborn delivery roles
• Guaranteed hours with one potential call-off per two-week pay period

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Certifications:
  
  AWHONN Advanced (or NCC EFM), ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM (all AHA-certified)
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with sterile vaginal exams, assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating and/or scrubbing for C-sections
• Ability to float to postpartum unit and provide couplet care is a strong plus
• Must be available to work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
