Required / Preferred Skills & Competencies Core IR Nursing Skills Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience Pre- and post-procedure patient care 1:1 patient monitoring Epic EMR experience (required) Procedural & Clinical Skills Procedural sedation administration & monitoring Sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring Interpretation & management of cardiac dysrhythmias Radiation safety & laser safety Pressure ulcer assessment & prevention Vascular & IR Procedures (Experience Expected) Central venous access / port placement Endovascular interventions & stent graft placement Upper & lower extremity angiography Dialysis graft creation, revision, and interventions SVC / IVC venography GI / GU / Pulmonary Procedures Paracentesis Gastrostomy tube placement Nephrostomy Renal angiography & renal artery stent placement Uterine artery embolization Chest tube placement Thoracentesis Lung biopsy Medication & IV Therapy IV starts & maintenance Emergency medications Antihypertensives Thrombolytics ✅ Work Expectations Day shift (5x8s, M–F) On-call required (weekday & weekend rotation) Adult & geriatric patient population Self-scheduling environment
