Mutternity Project is a nonprofit dog rescue dedicated to saving and supporting mother dogs and their puppies from high-risk shelters across Southern California. We believe in second chances, compassion, and creating lasting change through community, storytelling, and hands‑on support for the dogs and fosters who make this work possible.

As our foster program continues to grow, we are looking for a Volunteer Foster Advocate to help support our foster community, strengthen internal systems, and ensure every mama and pup in our care receives consistent, thoughtful support before they move into their next chapter.

The Foster Advocate is a volunteer (remote/hybrid) role focused on supporting our foster network and internal foster operations. This role helps ensure clear communication, strong systems, and a positive experience for both fosters and dogs during the foster phase of care.

You will work closely with Mutternity Project leadership and fellow volunteers to maintain organized workflows and help build a sustainable, community‑driven foster program.

Support and collaborate with Foster Coordinator volunteers to ensure smooth day‑to‑day foster operations

• Help assign and track foster‑related tasks, updates, and follow‑ups
• Assist with coordinating on‑site involvement for events related to fosters and dogs
• Help ensure foster check‑ins are completed consistently and documented properly
• Maintain and monitor internal dashboards and tools, including:
• Supply Tracker
• Engagement and activity tracking
• Assist with replying to and managing internal tickets or requests related to foster support
• Strong communication, organization, and follow‑through
• Comfortable working with systems and tools such as Notion, Freshworks, or similar platforms
• Passion for animal welfare and supporting community‑driven rescue work
• Reliable, thoughtful, and aligned with Mutternity Project’s values
