Senior Manager, Operations

Gently is an innovation-driven, same-day fulfillment and delivery provider enabling e-commerce and retail brands to offer lightning-fast, cost-efficient, and sustainable same-day delivery and returns. Since its launch in April 2023, the company has secured significant early-stage funding, grown by over 50% month-over-month, and established partnerships with leading brands and retailers. As Gently enters its next phase of growth, we are looking to add a Senior Manager, Operations to our leadership team who can support the successful operational management of our rapid expansion while ensuring excellence in executing Gently’s ambitious vision.

• In close partnership with the founding team, oversee and improve the day-to-day operations of the fulfillment center and last mile delivery with Gently's own fleet, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of orders, inventory management, and deliveries.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations, including managing warehouse operations, developing SOPs, and collaborating with warehouse teams and drivers.
• Define, systematize, and continuously monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive operational excellence, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and achieve agreed-upon targets.
• Identify opportunities to optimize costs, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency without compromising quality or service levels.
• Implement cost control measures and monitor expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Create presentations, financial models, and data/business intelligence dashboards for management reporting.
• Synthesize data insights to provide strategic recommendations across logistics operations and resource planning.

• Bachelor's degree
• 2-5 years of experience in consulting, data analytics, project management, or operations roles with a demonstrated record of exceptional performance.
• Strong preference for candidates with previous logistics or operations experience at a leading logistics company or high-growth venture, with in-depth knowledge of fulfillment center and last mile delivery operations, inventory management, and warehousing.
• Flexibility with working schedules, as the primary focus is logistics operations, which might include attending early/late shifts or drive-alongs on routes.
• A can-do attitude, a roll-up-the-sleeves mindset, and entrepreneurial passion to be a key player on the ground floor of a category-defining venture.
• An 'ownership' mentality to drive outcomes and address issues whenever needed, even outside of office hours.
