Data Architect

Location: Santa Monica, CA (Onsite – Local LA Candidates Only)

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with strong Cell & Gene Therapy domain expertise to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions within a Life Sciences environment.

This is a hands‑on onsite role where you will act as both a technical leader and mentor, driving architectural excellence while contributing to coding, optimization, and governance initiatives.

• Mandatory experience in Cell & Gene Therapy
• Strong understanding of GxP processes and compliance
• Experience working within Life Sciences environments
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Write clean, well‑documented, high‑performance code (Python/Scala)
• Design and maintain Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models for the Nexus platform
• Ensure seamless data flow across Clinical, Logistics, and Manufacturing modules
• Architect integration between Salesforce (Patient Journey) and shop‑floor systems
• Design secure API architectures using Mutual TLS (mTLS) and OAuth 2.0
• Implement and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards
• Engage business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technical solutions
• Mentor and guide data engineering teams

• Strong SQL & Python
• API Security (mTLS, OAuth 2.0)
• GxP Compliance
• 9+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Engineering
