The Opportunity

Demand.io is a profitable, founder‑led consumer AI commerce player driving $1B+ in annual GMV. We are the team behind Simply Codes (the #1 AI‑powered savings tool) and Product.ai (emerging Axiomatic Intelligence shopping assistant).

We are seeking a Lead Growth Architect to operate as a Strategic Engineer
. This is not a standard marketing role; it is a high‑leverage position for a technical builder who understands that the era of "Ad Buying" is ending and the era of Agent Engine Optimization (AEO) has begun.

We are pivoting from Search (SEO) to Adjudication (AI). We need an architect to build the autonomous engines that feed our data to the world's intelligence layer (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude). You will replace manual marketing labor with code, logic, and loops.

What You Will Build
  • The Agent Engine Optimization (AEO) Stack: You will engineer the strategy to inject our data into the context windows of the world's LLMs. You will optimize JSON‑LD payloads, MCP Tools, and Knowledge Graph APIs to ensure that when an AI answers a shopping query, it cites us as the source of truth.
  • Programmatic Viral Infrastructure: Paid acquisition is a commodity; we want to build proprietary distribution. You will architect the viral loops for our new Digital Wallet platform. You will design and code the sharing mechanics (e.g., "Share this Pass to unlock") that turn users into distribution nodes, measuring K‑Factor rather than CPM.
  • Automated Operations (The "No‑Human" Loop): Most marketing teams are slowed down by manual ops. You will own the Agentic Stack (n8n, Python, LLMs). You will build the "Doer Agents" that generate content, audit data, and manage outreach automatically. Your goal is to maximize the Human Intervention Rate (HIR)—targeting 100% autonomy.

  • A Technical Marketer: You can write a SQL query to segment users and a Python script to hit an API. You do not wait for Engineering to pull a list for you.
  • A First‑Principles Thinker: You do not copy "Best Practices" (which are average by definition). You deconstruct human psychology and platform dynamics to invent proprietary growth loops.
  • An Anti‑Bureaucrat: You hate reporting on "activity." You love reporting on "outcomes." You do not confuse motion with progress.
  • A System Builder: You prefer building the machine that does the work over doing the work yourself.
Compensation & Ownership
  • Base Salary: $200,000 – $350,000
    . We target the 80th+ percentile to attract 1‑of‑1 talent. Your base covers your life; your equity builds your freedom.
