Anesthesia Technician - Per Diem

Overview

Anesthesia Technician within our Surgical Services department at Providence Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Per-Diem and will work 8-hour shifts with start times of 6:30am and 10:30am.

• Assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation and application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia during the pre-, intra- and postoperative periods.
• Provide support to clinical staff of the operating room, anesthesia department, post anesthesia care unit, GI Lab, and procedural areas requiring anesthesia services.
• Ensure the order, functionality, availability and cleanliness of anesthesia supplies and equipment; coordinate repairs and communicate to management critical maintenance information.
• Participate in select patient care activities such as room turnover, specialized equipment setup, and patient preparation.
• Support the department’s budgetary objectives and the philosophy, objectives and goals of hospital administration and its representatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Sufficient for certification.
• Upon hire:
  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech
• Certification as an Anesthesia Tech

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
