Senior Specialty Representative - Bone Health - Santa Monica, CA

On-Site position at Santa Monica, CA. Amgen is seeking a Senior Specialty Representative to deliver on our commitment to serve patients and promote Amgen products to medical professionals, while navigating the payer environment.

At Amgen, our mission is to serve patients living with serious illnesses. Our four therapeutic areas are Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease. This role is focused on Bone Health and requires building relationships with healthcare providers, driving product utilization, and supporting access and reimbursement discussions.

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
• Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, planning and conducting medical education programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
• Demonstrate passion for our products and maintain brand focus throughout the sales cycle in service of patients.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related; OR an Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related; OR a High School diploma / GED with 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related.

• More than 3 years of sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical devices, or medical supplies.
• Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases.
• Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes.
• Local market knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration (or equivalent).
