Job Title: Clinician

Dept: Mental Health Services

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Full Service Partnership is a specialized mental health program that provides wraparound and individualized field‑based services to individuals with complex needs, including serious mental illness, chronic health issues, substance use disorders and homelessness.

As part of a multi‑disciplinary team, the Clinician will conduct psychotherapy and provide clinical interventions and clinical case management to help FSP clients achieve their goals and maintain health and wellness in the community. The Clinician is responsible to engage members and coordinate mental health and recovery services that will support housing stability and community integration. The Clinician is responsible for maintaining the highest quality provision of direct individual and case management services, while fostering collaboration among the team and across departments and programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide, coordinate, and implement mental health and recovery support services with individual members, including crisis interventions and risk assessment
  • Develop effective, trusting relationships with clients experiencing mental illness and other co‑occurring issues such as substance use disorders, physical illness, homelessness and forensic involvement
  • Collaborate with each member to develop their individual service plan; review and update it upon completion of goals
  • Provide linkage to housing through therapeutic and case management services such as obtaining/maintaining benefits and supporting with all steps in the housing process
  • Collaborate and coordinate care with internal and external providers in support of clients' treatment goals including but not limited to referring parties, housing, interim housing, medical and other providers
  • Perform initial comprehensive intake assessment and develop a plan of intervention that addresses barriers and challenges, and supports members in obtaining/maintaining permanent housing, and improving physical and mental health
  • Encourage and promote an environment that is reflective of The People Concern's model which emphasizes harm‑reduction, trauma‑informed care and housing‑first principles
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the FSP team, including active participation in team meetings, supervisions (administrative, clinical & group), and trainings
  • Complete all documentation and assessments, and maintain productivity expectations for billable time, according to standards and as they are required by our funder (the Department of Mental Health)
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Clinical Counselling, Psychology, or a related field and valid registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and computer skills
  • Knowledge of trauma informed care, housing first and harm reduction methodologies
  • Current, valid CA Driver's license, reliable personal vehicle with auto insurance, and willingness to transport clients in personal vehicle
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

  • BBS Licensure
Work Environment
  • Combination of field and office environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
  • On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
  • Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
  • Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
  • May need to bend, stoop, twist, and sit throughout the day
