Overview
The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of a licensed practitioner, perform duties as directed to support patient care for assigned patients. Demonstrate competency in clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location. Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on clinical training for medical assistants, or
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant including: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, or
- Within 30 days of hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification, and - 6 months healthcare experience, or
- 6 months medical assistant experience
- Upon hire:
National Medical Assistant Certification

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates for this position. The placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other factors. This base pay range may be complemented by shift differentials, on-call, overtime, premiums, incentives, or bonuses.
