Overview

Under the supervision of the UCLA Cardiac Imaging Medical Director, Operations Director, Manager and Supervisor, the Senior Echo cardiographic Technician performs all 2-dimensional, M-mode, and Doppler studies including Stress echocardiogram, Pharmacological stress echocardiogram, and Transesophageal echocardiograms. The Senior Echo cardiographic Technician must have at least three years of direct adult cardiac sonographer experience and be registered through American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in adult echocardiography (AE) RDCS.

The Senior Echo cardiographic Technician notifies (By Pager) Cardiac Imaging Physicians for any URGENT, STAT and/or Pre-Operative Echo Readings. Prepares preliminary interpretation of studies. Prepares and maintains records pertinent to echo studies and performs other duties as assigned and directed by the UCLA Cardiac Imaging Physicians, Manager, and Supervisor.

• Notify Cardiac Imaging Physicians by pager for urgent, STAT and/or pre-operative echo readings.
• Prepare preliminary interpretations of studies and maintain records pertinent to echo studies.
• Perform 2-dimensional, M-mode, and Doppler studies including stress echocardiograms, pharmacological stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Under supervision of Cardiac Imaging leadership, perform other duties as assigned and directed.

• At least three years of direct adult cardiac sonographer experience.
• ARDMS registration in adult echocardiography (AE) RDCS.

This is a 50% per diem position that may convert into career.

Salary: $73.23/hourly
