Alpha School offers an AI-powered reading program that reshapes early literacy instruction. You will lead focused, high‑impact workshops rather than conventional hour‑long class periods, diagnosing individual student needs, developing original evidence‑based lesson plans without templates, and contributing to adaptive technology that extends your expertise to hundreds of learners.

• Leading adaptive reading workshops focused on building core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension.
• Creating personalized, motivational instruction that engages students and fosters a lifelong passion for reading.
• Reviewing student performance data to iteratively improve your methods and generate actionable insights.
• Working alongside the technology team to assess and improve AI‑driven literacy platforms.

• Following pre‑packaged curricula or published instructional sequences.

Cultivate a passion for reading in early learners.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (examples include Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent programs).
• Minimum of 2 years delivering small‑group reading interventions to students in early elementary grades.
• Capable of evaluating reading proficiency, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated lesson plans independently of published curricula.
• Comfortable using AI and adaptive learning platforms and adjusting instruction based on student interaction data.
• Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
• Available to work on‑site at one of these locations:

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
