Looking for Floater Associate teachers for a progressive preschool in the Santa Monica area. We are only interested in candidates who have a passion for the field and meet all the requirements listed. We're looking for people who have chosen early education as their career, not just a job. You must love children; that s a given. But you also must love life.

Qualifications- All applicants must have a clear understanding of an emergent curriculum and a blended approach as well as the ability to work collaboratively.
- Floaters must be open to working with all ages within our programming, genuinely resonate with our unique philosophy, and have an eagerness to grow within our school.
- 12 ECE units (B.A. or B.S. Preferred).
- 1 year of classroom teaching experience.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be able to bend, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
- First Aid/CPR
- Support the teachers in daily classroom routines, enrichment, and curriculum implementation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Support diapering, potty-training, and hygiene needs.
- Model respectful, reflective interactions with children at all times.
- Foster positive peer interactions and support independent conflict resolution.
- Communicate professionally with staff in partnership with the Lead Teacher and team.
- Uphold Piper’s community values and positive school culture.
- Lead with positivity and professionalism.
- Check email daily and communicate clearly with staff and Administration.
- Remain actively engaged with children—never leaving a child unsupervised.
- Follow all Piper policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
- Lift and move up to 20–50 lbs (35 lbs for toddler classrooms).
- Bend, crouch, sit, stand, and move throughout the day.
- Work indoors and outdoors and respond quickly in emergency situations.
