The Early Childhood Teacher works as a team member to provide a safe and secure environment to enhance a child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development as part of our National Accredited for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Early Childhood Development Center. The Teacher is responsible for co‑teaching with other educators in the center, organizing and planning a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the center's philosophy and NAEYC accreditation guidelines and Community Care Licensing Requirements for all age‑groups in the Early Childhood Directions Program.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field
- Coursework/Training: 24 semester units of Early Childhood Education including all core classes + infant and toddler development class:
- Child Development
- Principles & Practices in ECE
- Introduction to Curriculum
- The Child, Family & Community
- 3 units of infant/toddler development
- Supervised Field Experience
- Coursework/Training:
Current/Valid California Commission on Teaching Credentialing – Teacher Permit - Upon hire:
Background Check Clearance by the CA Department of Social Services (CPMB), DOJ and Child Abuse Central Index – no convictions related to child abuse, offenses against persons, sexual offenses, child neglect, felonies involving controlled substances, or other offenses bearing substantial relation to qualification, functions or duties of an employee of a child care facility. - 2 years working with preschool‑age children
- 6 months supervised field experience in early childhood setting
- 6 months working with infants and toddlers
- Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field
