Lead Pre-K Teacher

Job Description

Looking for a Pre-K Lead teacher for a progressive preschool in the Santa Monica area. We are only interested in candidates who have a passion for the field and meet all the requirements listed. We are looking for people who have chosen early education as their career, not just a job. You must love children—that's a given, but you also must love life.

All applicants must have a clear understanding of an emergent curriculum as well as the ability to implement Kindergarten Readiness. Teachers must have experience working with children ages 4 years to prior entry to Kindergarten or 1st grade, and the ability to meet all children's needs. Must enjoy working in a team setting as well as the ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time.

Punctual and dependable.

• BA degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field.
• PreK Experience.
• Qualify for the Master Teacher Permit.
• 3 Years of Classroom Teaching Experience.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, and kneel for extended periods of time.

Compensation
: $28 to $32 per hour; based on education and experience.

Hours
:
Monday through Friday;
Schedule between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
