• Teach Ethnic Studies courses, including preparation of syllabus, selection of texts, and holding weekly office hours.
• Follow department policies and procedures.

Master's Degree in Ethnic Studies OR

Master's Degree in one of the following:
American Studies/Ethnicity;
Latino Studies;
La Raza Studies;
Central American Studies;
Latin American Studies;
Cross Cultural Studies;
Race & Ethnic Relations;
Asian-American Studies;
African-American Studies; or the equivalent.

Demonstrated experience teaching Ethnic Studies courses at the community college level.

Starting salary for Part Time Faculty is based on educational achievement and relevant prior employment experience up to but not beyond Step 4, with step advancement at the beginning of the intersession or semester following completion of multiples of 30 LHE at Santa Monica College.
